Night Moth

Spotted this guy outside my front door tonight. He was more than two inches long. Really fantastic. I can’t get over how “tame” moths are…or maybe they are just hyponitized by the porch light.

    when I was a kid they called these “hummingbird moths”…..shrugs

    and guess what…..the caterpillar that these come from are those ugly green ones that eat your tomatoes
