ANNOUNCEMENT: Classic Car Cruise in Monrovia Saturday
I know there are many classic and antique car aficionados in Monrovia, as I see them around quite often. I thought it would be appropriate to post a notice for the “Monrovia Station Cruise,” which will be held at the park and ride lot near the old train station from 4–8 p.m. on Saturday, April 5th.
In addition to providing selling space for $10 (no dealers), there will be food and a raffle, and a $100 “Best in Show” prize.
Organizers plan on holding the event regularly on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month. For more information, call 626-359-5511.

Well, the car cruise was a success for the first event. Over 80 classic hot rods and restored vehicles were on display. My favorite was the 50-something Mercury “lead sled”. The venue offers much more space and word should get out for more cars next time. Thanks to Rudy’s Mexican Food of Monrovia for the eats.
