I just noticed there is a new eatery in town, Moondog’s. Anyone tried it yet?

I tried their dog at the Car show a few weeks ago. Decent hot dog, my boys felt $5 for a dog, can of pop and bag of chips was a bit much. I didn’t think it was when you look at what a run through burger king is.
They must be planning on a quick table turn and a lot of carry out as the inside dining is very small.
I think if they could get dialed into a few of the local events like the car show they could get a good following quickly.
Popped in for a dog about a month ago. The food was very good, but the service was still very much in training mode. A little patience and repeating the order a couple times seemed to do the trick.
The dogs are juicy and well-grilled. The chili is thick and red with kidney beans. Plus: they have various style dogs from around the country. The New Yorker has saurkraut; the Chicago is bursting with pickle and tomato wedges. And the L.A. dog? in a nod to the fearless street vendors who bring their salty delights to every sporting event and last call in town, is wrapped in bacon and draped in grilled onions. Mmmm…
Bonuses: Beer, wine and all-you-can-drink sodas.
Once they get the kinks out of the service (which they may have already), this will be a perfectly charming sidewalk cafe addition to Old Town.

Ate there a few weeks ago, great food for a great price. A nice place to eat with your kids before a movie.

This has easily become my youngest daughters favorite place - in her words “I think we are going to become regulars here…and they will know our names when we come in”.
Not a lot of places to sit, the stools are not comfortable - and the one big table they have outside is usually taken up by someone from Baldwins - they get one hot dog for the kid, and everyone else gets food at Baldwins.
We keep going back - it would be nicer if they all stayed open a little later.

What a great little joint! love the different hot dogs and the ambiance inside and outside!!! It is nice to just drop by for a delicious hot dog (100% kosher by the way, only the best), and a cold beer (several to choose from) like NewCastle! I’ve also stayed to catch a game while drinking some beers and munching on hot wings, it’s comfortable! thanks for coming to town!!!

I did! Enjoyed a hot dog with jalepenos (sp?) and avacado. It was yummy and they have really good french fries!
