Wow…I’m so happy I found this blog, I live in Monrovia too and love it. I’m always taking walks in town and finding such new things. And it’s a bit surreal to see my town up in your blog, (knowing you live there too), knowing I see these things every day, especially the Foothill/Old Town area, as that’s where about I live, (I live closer to the high school).
If the rent prices on the retail spaces are anything like the rents being asked on the 68 unites that are now apartments, it will be a long time before you see any retail operations there.
I sure hope that landlords come to their senses and charge prices real people can afford. I hope to see more life there!
