Wow, I’ve never seen a shot that made the Aztec Hotel look so…well…photogenic!

Post Office Patterns

Monrovia Post Office Patterns, originally uploaded by Living in Monrovia.

During the day the Monrovia Post Office building looks rather ordinary; at night, however, it really takes on a different personality!

For Lease

This building just got fixed up for Farmer’s Insurance, but it appears they also have office space for lease. I do love the color palette.

Bethel A.M.E. Church

I’ve never seen a soul enter or leave this place. It sits on the edge of Old Town, quietly beseeching someone to come in.

Nice upgrade to the public works building

I’d been meaning to take a photo of it. Makes the drive down Mountain just that much prettier…

Funky house o’ the day

I love the way this sidewalk comes together…and the little twin rooflets accent the front of the house. Funky cool.

New Townhomes on Foothill

New Townhomes on Foothill, originally uploaded by Living in Monrovia.

I thought it was time to get a photo of these. They are just east of Myrtle on Foothill. I wonder how long it will take them to sell in this slow market?

Behold, a door!

Behold, a door, originally uploaded by Living in Monrovia.

And what lies inside yon door? Something about it makes me think of the super natural, no, the great beyond perhaps. Is it the pools out light in front of it? Or perhaps the glow from the lamp up above? What about the sunburst pattern above the door, further suggesting rays of light bursting from overhead? Finally, the unpotted urn, to your lower right as you approach. What does it make you think of? Any wild guesses to which place this door belongs astute readers?

Monrovia Market

Monrovia Market, originally uploaded by Living in Monrovia.

Looks like the market on Shamrock across from the park is undergoing a transformation! Seems there will be a restaurant attached. :)

3 DAY SUITS

3 DAY SUITS, originally uploaded by Living in Monrovia.

Didn’t notice the real hand in the window until I looked an enlargement of this pic. My dog was barking intently while looking at the window and I thought he was just mistaking the mannequins for headless people. Ahem.
