Fresh Strawberries from Monrovia Farmer’s Market

Fresh Strawberries from Monrovia Farmer’s Market, originally uploaded by Living in Monrovia.

I couldn’t resist the strawberries from tonight’s farmer’s market. We also got peaches, raspberries, zucchini and some candied cashews, which are now being digested in my belly.

Farmer’s Market Delicacies

Fantastic creations! My dentist would shoot me if I ever ate one of these. I think they could make a wonderfully inspired geodesic dome house if taken up in dimension.

I spotted this pic on Flickr. Not sure where it was taken…probably at the Farmer’s Market. Has anyone tried it?

Have to say, chocolate soufflé is my favorite dessert. Wish I had eaten this!

Peach Café

I hadn’t been to the Peach Café in awhile, and noticed this really nice painting by Glendale artist Robert Brady on the wall. I can think of a lot of places in my house it would look terrific.

Lunch Fantastico

I love eating at La Adelita Mexican Restaurant on Colorado. They have a couple of tables outside (and I can bring my dog!) and the staff is very friendly. I recently fell in love with the spinach enchilada. Great flavor and lots of goodies inside.

Aloha Boba makes Fantastic Iced Tea for a Sweltering Day

I’ve passed by this little gem of a tea shop many times in the last couple of years without entering, and boy do I wish I had ventured in sooner. I finally stepped inside the other day and not only were the owners friendly, but their selection of teas is staggering. Along the far wall they have shelves and shelves filled with glass jars with enticing names like “Summer Spice” and “Linden Blossom.”

I had no idea which one to choose, but co-owners Cindy Thai and Kim Nguyen (pictured above) were more than happy to help me find one that I might like. It’s fun just to open the jars and smell what is inside. They brew their teas fresh on the spot, so you might wait a little longer than getting an iced tea from a machine, but boy, is it worth it!

I’m glad to see the Rosa at Wraps 360 is getting some appreciation. She makes terrific wrap sandwiches, as you can tell by this photo!

Tonight I stopped by Los Guerros mexican restaurant tonight for some quick take-out. I love their crispy chicken tacos. They also make guacamole tableside, and the wait staff is very friendly!
