Shady Stairs

Happy Fourth everyone! I know it’s going to be a scorcher so I thought I’d post a very “cool” photo of early morning shade. Remember today to be thankful for all of your freedoms and know that for them to work you have to speak up and take action. You may not feel that you can have a huge effect on federal government, but our local government is close by and available for you.

Nu Way Car Wash

Nu Way Car Wash, originally uploaded by Living in Monrovia.

I love the 50s retro of this car wash. Reminds me of something I’d see in Disneyland’s original Tomorrowland…I wonder if it will get bulldozed when the train station goes in?

The Heat has Arrived

The Heat has Arrived, originally uploaded by Living in Monrovia.

Looks like summer is finally here in Monrovia. I read the other day
that this past winter was the driest on record since 1889. I guess
that means we have to be extra careful not to set off any kind of
fire. Doesn’t take much in hot dry conditions like this.
